Job Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team to collaboratively design, construct, and uphold various environments leveraging cloud services, with a focus on AWS. Engage in the enhancement of data center/cloud infrastructure via automation to facilitate scalable services and cost reduction. Develop and maintain tools vital for Continuous Integration & Application Deployment across diverse environments. Respond promptly to system alerts and contribute to on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud environments using AWS services.
- Implement automation strategies for scaling services and reducing costs in data center/cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor system alerts and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve system/application issues promptly.
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot MySQL or PostgreSQL databases, including RDS instances.
- Maintain web servers, firewalls, and other infrastructure components to meet operational requirements.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate software delivery processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services including EC2, S3, Route53, ECS, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc.
- Experience in Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL-based) server administration, adept at debugging and resolving system/application issues.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, etc.
- Competence in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing MySQL or PostgreSQL databases, including RDS instances.
- Capable of learning and maintaining web servers (e.g., NGINX), Firewalls, AWS ELB, etc.
- Familiarity with deployment and operations tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana is a must, DataDog is a plus.
- Understanding of containers such as Docker/Podman is essential and orchestration tools related to them is a must, such as AWS ECS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins pipelines, for automating software delivery processes.
