Role Summary
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer Intern who is eager to learn cloud infrastructure, automation, containerization, and modern deployment practices. As an intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to support cloud operations, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and Kubernetes environments.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world infrastructure challenges and an opportunity to work on production-grade IoT platforms used by enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Assist in managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Support provisioning and maintenance of cloud resources.
- Learn and contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and assist with optimization efforts.
CI/CD & Automation
- Support development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist in automating deployment and operational workflows.
- Write simple scripts using Bash or Python to improve efficiency.
- Learn software deployment and release management processes.
Containers & Kubernetes
- Work with Docker containers and Kubernetes environments.
- Assist in deploying and monitoring containerized applications.
- Support troubleshooting of deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Learn Kubernetes concepts such as pods, services, deployments, and scaling.
Monitoring & Observability
- Assist in maintaining monitoring dashboards and alerts.
- Support log analysis and system health monitoring.
- Learn tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and observability platforms.
Troubleshooting & Documentation
- Help investigate infrastructure and application issues.
- Participate in debugging and root cause analysis activities.
- Maintain operational documentation and deployment guides.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve platform reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
- Pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of Docker and containerization concepts.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or a similar language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Kubernetes concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
- Interest in cloud computing, DevOps, SRE, or IoT technologies.
