Position: Cloud DevOps Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
- Hybrid - (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Duration: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire (will 100% convert fulltime)
Pay rate: $60/hr - $66/hr (possible flexibility based on experience)

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer for a top manufacturing client in Tampa, FL. This individual will join a highly visible cloud team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate has deep AWS expertise, strong Kubernetes/EKS experience, and a proven track record of building cloud environments from the ground up. This role will serve as a technical leader, helping drive cloud architecture, security, automation, and best practices while collaborating with teams across the organization on strategic cloud initiatives.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Architecture experience
- Strong AWS expertise (AWS-first environment)
- Hands-on EKS/Kubernetes experience
- Strong AWS expertise, including IAM, VPC design, and core services (EC2, RDS, Lambda)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, but strong IaC experience required)
- CI/CD pipeline experience and DevOps best practices
- Scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience designing/building cloud solutions from scratch
- Ability to clearly explain projects they personally owned and implemented
Plusses:
- Experience with Helm, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Datadog
- Azure / Entra ID exposure
- Technical leadership or mentoring experience
Day-to-Day:
- Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure
- Build and manage EKS/Kubernetes environments
- Manage IAM, security controls, and cloud networking
- Support upgrades, patching, and cloud modernization efforts
- Automate infrastructure through IaC and scripting
- Troubleshoot complex cloud issues
- Partner with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams
- Establish cloud standards and best practices
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and tools
- Provide technical guidance across the organization
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
