About the Opportunity
Our client is an established technology company that develops and operates large-scale digital platforms serving users across multiple international markets. They are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to help maintain, automate, and enhance their cloud infrastructure while supporting the delivery of highly available, scalable applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and CI/CD in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, administration, and optimization of cloud infrastructure alongside senior DevOps engineers.
- Manage and maintain containerized workloads running on Kubernetes environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar technologies.
- Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production-related issues to ensure system reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure configurations.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation to assist with production incidents when required.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS, although experience with Google Cloud or Azure is also valued.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (including managed Kubernetes services such as EKS), and container-based deployments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, TeamCity, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and command-line environments.
- Scripting experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or another automation language.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
- Professional certifications in cloud or DevOps technologies are advantageous but not mandatory.
