Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to support, automate, and maintain critical geospatial applications and cloud infrastructure within a utility/energy company environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong AWS infrastructure expertise, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD automation, Linux and Windows administration skills, and experience supporting Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments. Experience in the energy and utilities sector is highly desirable.
Roles & Responsibilities
Required Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Azure DevOps.
Develop and maintain AWS Systems Manager (SSM) automation documents, Runbooks, and operational workflows.
Administer AWS services including EC2, EFS, ALB, Route 53, IAM, KMS, AMI, and Security Groups.
Configure and support AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security controls.
Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Manage AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store for secure credential management.
Support containerized workloads using Amazon ECS and ECR.
Develop automation scripts using Python, YAML, Bash, and PowerShell.
Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2022 environments.
Build and maintain automated deployment processes for enterprise applications.
Support AWS Lambda functions and Step Functions workflows.
Manage and support Amazon S3 storage solutions.
Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases.
Collaborate with development, GIS, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and reliable cloud operations.
Follow DevSecOps best practices and security compliance requirements.
Perform system upgrades, patching, and operational support activities.
Manage source code repositories using GitHub.
Utilize SonarQube and JFrog for code quality and artifact management.
Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and Runbook development.
Strong experience in AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild implementation.
Experience managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform Cloud Workspaces and reusable modules.
Experience with EC2, ALB, EFS, IAM, KMS, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, S3, ECS, ECR, RDS, and DynamoDB.
Experience with Python, YAML, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
Strong Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server administration experience.
Experience with GitHub-based source control and CI/CD processes.
