AWS DevOps Cloud Engineer
Must sit onsite in McLean, VA (preferred) or Richmond, VA (secondary)
16 months – hybrid onsite – 3 days in office/2 days remote
W2 Rate - $80-82/hr
- 5–10 years AWS infrastructure/operations
- 3+ years supporting production AWS environments
- DevOps tooling experience
- Linux/Windows administration
- Scripting ability (Python/PowerShell)
- Security remediation experience
- Financial services production support (Actimize, Oracle, compliance platforms) is a plus
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong AWS operational experience managing and supporting cloud infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DMS, ELB, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Python and/or PowerShell scripting to troubleshoot application issues, analyze errors, and modify automation scripts.
- Proven vulnerability management and patching experience across systems, applications, and Docker containers.
- Hands-on experience with Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including maintaining Chef cookbooks and automation frameworks.
- Strong production troubleshooting and observability experience using AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, logs, and dashboards.
- Experience using GitHub for configuration management, code reviews, and enterprise pull request workflows
