About The Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of AWS operations across multiple customer accounts. You will be the technical backbone for our AWS-based customer support, managing cloud infrastructure, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the reliability of production systems. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer support, cloud operations, and platform engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level AWS support to our customers, including troubleshooting, incident response, and architectural guidance.
- Own end-to-end DevOps operations for multiple AWS accounts — provisioning, configuration, cost management, security posture, and lifecycle management.
- Manage the organization's presence and workflows on AWS Partner Central, including partner program compliance, opportunity registration, funding programs, and technical validations.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / CloudFormation), and automated deployment workflows.
- Monitor production environments, respond to incidents, run RCAs, and drive long-term reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to right-size infrastructure, optimize costs, and enforce security best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption, compliance).
- Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS in production environments.
- Deep expertise in AWS core services — EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route53, ALB/NLB, Lambda, etc.
- Strong experience with AWS Operations — account management, billing/cost optimization, security hardening, backup & DR, Well-Architected reviews.
- Working knowledge of AWS Partner Central — partner program navigation, opportunity registration, APN portal workflows, funding and co-sell mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure — compute, networking, identity, and cross-cloud operations.
- Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred), scripting (Python / Bash / Go), and Linux systems administration.
- Solid understanding of networking.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
- Strong customer-facing communication skills — able to translate technical issues into clear, non-technical explanations.
Good to Have
- Container & orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Helm, service mesh.
- Streaming & messaging: Kafka, Zookeeper.
- Data stores: MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, or pgvector).
- Observability: production experience with logging stacks (ELK / Loki / Fluent Bit) and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch-based pipelines).
- AWS Certifications — Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty.
- Experience running multi-tenant SaaS or customer-managed cloud environments.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
