Position Description
One of our leading medical clients is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and support secure, scalable software delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills, hands-on experience with Azure, GitLab, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies. This role requires excellent communication, analytical thinking, documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. Medical device industry experience is preferred but not required.
What You'll Work On
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and Azure PaaS services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Terraform and scripting languages.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, AKS, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
- Integrate security checks and DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support software deployment, system maintenance, and production issues when escalated.
- Develop automation scripts and contribute to DevOps workflows.
- Work with REST APIs and support system integrations.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage software code repositories using Git, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine system requirements into technical solutions.
- Apply enterprise security policies and best practices across environments.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and recommend process improvements.
- Assist customers and internal stakeholders in resolving technical issues and meeting business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- 3+ years of DevOps experience.
- Strong coding and scripting skills.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Azure PaaS services.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Experience with Terraform, Git, and GitLab.
- Experience with Docker, AKS, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with automation, orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Exposure to security scanning and compliance within CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, reverse proxies (F5 LTM/GTM or Azure native services).
- Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with vendor management is a plus.
- Medical device industry experience is preferred but not required.
