About The Role
The role is responsible for the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and capacity management of large-scale infrastructure. This position acts as the bridge between software development and systems engineering, building automated tooling to manage resilient cloud systems.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product development teams to architect scalable services, run blameless post-mortems, and eliminate manual operations through systematic software automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain multi-region cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI to ensure safe, repeatable, and automated software delivery
- Administer and scale production Kubernetes clusters, including managing ingress controllers, service meshes, and autoscaling policies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive observability suites using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog for real-time alerting and anomaly detection
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation, responding to infrastructure alerts and leading incident mitigation and post-mortem analyses
- Write custom automation tooling and operators in Go or Python to eliminate manual system administration tasks
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Engineering managing production cloud workloads
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform, and container orchestration with Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of Linux systems administration, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), and cloud security best practices
- Hands-on coding experience in Go, Python, or Bash for automation and systems scripting
- Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching layers (Redis, Memcached) under heavy production loads
- Bonus: Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001), or managing multi-cloud environments
