Position description: DevOps Team member is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native practices. This role drives engineering efficiency, system reliability, and release velocity by integrating development and operations through automation, observability, and governance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the DevOps strategy aligned with organizational and product delivery goals.
- Architect and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Lead and mentor the DevOps/SRE team, establishing best practices and engineering standards.
- Design and manage infrastructure platforms across on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Integrate security practices into pipelines, ensuring DevSecOps compliance and vulnerability management.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve system reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and incident management practices.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to streamline release processes and improve delivery outcomes.

- CI/CD pipeline reliability and success rate using Jenkins
- Deployment frequency and lead time for changes
- Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and incident resolution efficiency
- Automation coverage across build, test, and deployment processes
- Reduction in manual intervention and operational overhead
- Pipeline performance optimization (build time, resource utilization)

- Automation frameworks and integration approaches (REST APIs, SDKs, scripting)
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices
- Linux and Windows operating systems fundamentals
Required Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins (including pipelines and shared libraries)
- Strong programming skills in Python and scripting (Shell, Batch)
- Experience in developing and maintaining Jenkinsfiles and reusable pipeline libraries
- Proficiency in SCM and planning tools such as Git, GitLab, IBM Rational Team Concert, and Jira
- Ability to design and implement automation using REST APIs and scripts
- Experience in deploying and managing CI setups across multiple projects
