Job Description
Tech Mahindra is looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our technology operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating software deployment processes, managing cloud infrastructure, improving system reliability, and supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. The candidate should possess strong experience in infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and monitoring solutions.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with software developers, QA engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, and project managers to streamline development and deployment workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and performance of applications across development, testing, and production environments.
This position offers an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale projects and modern cloud-native architectures while contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure environments.
- Manage cloud resources and ensure optimal utilization.
- Configure and maintain development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Design and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Integrate automated quality checks into deployment workflows.
- Improve deployment efficiency and reduce release cycle times.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures and deployment issues.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Build and manage Docker containers.
- Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
- Optimize containerized application performance.
- Manage container security and image repositories.
- Monitor container health and resource utilization.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Analyze logs and performance metrics.
- Identify system bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Ensure rapid issue resolution and system recovery.
Security & Compliance
- Implement DevSecOps practices.
- Manage secrets, certificates, and access controls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
- Support audit and compliance activities.
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes.
- Support developers with environment setup and troubleshooting.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and project planning sessions.
- Create technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Provide production support and maintenance.
