Job Role: Forward Deployed Engineer — DevOps / Cloud Platform
About the role We are committed to enabling our development teams through a modern, DevOps-driven approach. To achieve this we’ve built an internal platform that provides automated tooling and capabilities for software development and operations, including CI/CD. This platform is the foundation for onboarding product teams to curated Azure services and accelerating their cloud adoption journey. - Lead the re-platforming and migration of applications to cloud infrastructure, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, compliance controls, and secure-by-design principles.
- Drive migration of CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, aligning pipelines with platform standards and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to educate and enable them on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development.
- Improve developer experience by creating reusable templates, documentation, and training materials that simplify platform adoption.
- Troubleshoot platform integration and deployment issues; provide pragmatic, hands-on support during migrations and releases.
- Work with security, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet organizational controls and auditability requirements.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
- Experience deploying containerized workloads and orchestration technologies (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes).
- Experience working in air-gapped or restricted enterprise environments where external dependencies must be consumed from internal registries.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and guide teams through change.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Proactive, pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments (SAFe or similar) and collaborating across multiple teams.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are strongly advantageous.
- Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory) and secure supply chain tooling.
- Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and internal developer platforms (IDP).
- Experience building developer onboarding flows, templates, and training curricula.
