Job Title: AWS Cloud Infra Architect
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site)
About the Role
We are seeking an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our AI team, working closely with the central cloud team to design and implement repeatable, reusable deployment practices for enterprise-wide AI solutions. This role is focused on building standardized deployment frameworks and packages that can be handed off to the central cloud team for ongoing operational management. This is a cloud infrastructure design and deployment engineering role, not a traditional DevOps operations position.
This is an on-site role requiring a mandatory 3-day workweek from our Houston office. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is a strong plus.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Create standardized, reusable deployment packages and processes for enterprise AI solutions
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Architect and support containerized deployments using Kubernetes and orchestration best practices
- Build and manage AWS data ingestion pipelines to support AI and machine learning workloads
- Work with Amazon OpenSearch, Bedrock embeddings, and S3 vector stores to support AI solution architecture
- Partner with the central cloud team to ensure deployment frameworks are production-ready for long-term operational ownership
- Apply deep knowledge of AWS core services, networking, and serverless architectures across projects
Required Skills and Qualifications
- AWS Certification (required)
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proven experience with containerized deployment practices
- Experience building AWS data ingestion pipelines
- Working knowledge of Amazon OpenSearch, Bedrock embeddings, and S3 vector storage
- Deep understanding of AWS core services, networking, and serverless architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Ability to design reusable, standardized deployment frameworks rather than manage day-to-day operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry

- This role requires local candidates or those willing to relocate to Houston, TX
- On-site presence is required 3 days per week; fully remote work is not available
