Description:
We seek a talented Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on Azure, with a strong background in infrastructure engineering and DevOps practices. You will develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure as Code, integrated with automated DevOps tools & pipelines to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using Terraform.
- Automate the deployment and management of Azure cloud resources.
- Collaborate with architects and development teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure code adheres to best practices, security and organizational standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure code, deployments, and runtime environments.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code.
- Utilize DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git, VS Code, Jira, WebEx)
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, cost, and security.
- Create and update documentation, including system diagrams.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices.
- Use GitHub Copilot effectively — IDE integration, code generation, debugging, refactoring, and unit‑test generation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure as Code Developer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure architecture.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Packer, Azure Resource Manager, or equivalent (eg. Microsoft Bicep, AWS CloudFormation)
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
- Strong knowledge in 1+ high-level programming language (Python, Groovy).
- Strong knowledge in 1+ scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Ansible or equivalent).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
- Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, firewall rules.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field is desired.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace ,DataDog
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ400) are a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- 3+ years of professional experience with Azure, AWS and DevOps practices
