Trane Technologies is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer who will play a critical role in building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms across our global digital ecosystem. This position sits at the intersection of development, security, and operations, ensuring that security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle while enabling efficient and resilient delivery pipelines.
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work with modern cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, security tooling, and monitoring solutions to strengthen application security, improve deployment reliability, and support operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to implement solutions that are secure by design, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex platform and security challenges, improving system resilience, and driving continuous improvement across a diverse technology landscape. You will gain exposure to enterprise-scale cloud and DevSecOps practices while contributing to the modernization and ongoing evolution of our engineering and security capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, enhance, and support secure CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises platforms.
- Implement and maintain DevSecOps solutions using technologies such as GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Team Foundation Server, Subversion, Maven, Gradle, Make, Docker, Terraform, and Terraform Cloud.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD orchestration workflows using GitHub Actions, YAML, Python, Bash, Jenkins, and Agentic AI capabilities including MCP and Agents.
- Integrate automated testing and quality controls into the software delivery lifecycle using tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, Neoload, SonarQube, and general linting practices.
- Implement and maintain application security controls by leveraging SAST tools such as Checkmarx, GitHub Advanced Security, and CodeQL.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and efficient DevSecOps solutions.
- Support end-to-end platform and release lifecycle activities including build, test, deployment, monitoring, incident support, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain identity, access, secrets management, policy enforcement, and infrastructure as code standards across DevOps and cloud platforms.
- Work across cloud platforms including AWS and GCP to support secure application deployment, platform engineering, and operational excellence.
- Partner with DevOps, infrastructure, and support teams using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow to automate provisioning, release management, and operational processes.
- Strengthen observability and operational reliability through monitoring and performance management tools such as New Relic and Datadog.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, pipeline standards, automation templates, operational procedures, and support artifacts.
- Participate in root cause analysis, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security posture, platform stability, observability, and engineering efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging DevSecOps tools, automation practices, and platform capabilities that can improve scalability, reliability, compliance, and business value.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in a development or lead capacity.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and expertise in cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, including cloud security, secure coding, infrastructure security, and compliance.
- Experience leading technical implementations, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
