About Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Automation Engineer with strong expertise in CI/CD, Build Automation, Source Code Management, and Telecom Software Integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex software build environments, release processes, automation frameworks, and integration pipelines for telecom products. This role requires hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git-based workflows, embedded Linux build systems, containerized build environments, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful software releases and deployment readiness.

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated build and release pipelines for telecom software products.
- Manage nightly builds, release builds, integration builds, and software delivery processes.
- Develop build dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and failure monitoring mechanisms.
- Drive release readiness activities and ensure timely software deliveries.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related automation tools.
- Automate software integration, build verification, packaging, and deployment workflows.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, and Groovy.
- Improve build reliability, repeatability, and operational efficiency through automation.
- Manage Git, Gerrit, GitLab, and Subversion repositories.
- Define branching strategies, code propagation workflows, and release management processes.
- Support integration branches, release branches, and development workflows.
- Ensure source code integrity and configuration consistency across environments.
- Support build environments based on Yocto, Buildroot, Meson, Make/CMake, Maven, Ant, and related technologies.
- Manage meta-build systems, signed builds, package generation, and software distribution artifacts.
- Work with embedded Linux platforms, firmware, bootloaders, BSPs, and telecom software components.
- Troubleshoot compilation failures, dependency issues, and toolchain-related challenges.
- Manage containerized build environments using Docker and virtualized infrastructure.
- Administer artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory.
- Implement dependency management and package version control best practices.
- Integrate static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and quality checks into build pipelines.
- Support tools such as Coverity, JFrog Vision, SARIF/JSON reporting, and security scanning frameworks.
- Support integration activities across Platform, OAM/O1, Stack, L1/L2/L3, Application, BSP, Firmware, Security, and IPsec components.
- Collaborate with development, testing, platform, vendor, and release teams.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for integration and build failures.
- Ensure successful software integration and release validation activities.
- Create and maintain build procedures, onboarding guides, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Prepare issue trackers, release reports, and RCA documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve build quality.
- Promote knowledge sharing and operational excellence within the engineering organization.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 5-8 years of experience in Build & Release Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, SCM, or Telecom Software Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Jenkins pipeline development and build automation.
- Experience managing nightly builds, build dashboards, automated reporting, and failure triage processes.
- Deep understanding of Git, Gerrit, GitLab, Subversion, branching strategies, and release management practices.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto, Buildroot, Meson, Make/CMake, Maven, Ant, and embedded Linux build environments.
- Expertise in Docker, containerized build systems, and virtualized build infrastructure.
- Experience managing JFrog Artifactory and software artifact repositories.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Shell, and Groovy.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ for build-debugging and compilation issue analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for build failures, dependency issues, toolchain mismatches, and environment drift.
- Experience with static analysis, security scanning, vulnerability reporting, and quality automation tools.
- Good understanding of telecom software architecture and network software integration.
- Experience working across platform, middleware, firmware, security, and application layers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and enterprise-scale engineering environments.
