At Applix, we're building the Manufacturing Operating System that powers the next generation of intelligent factories. We're looking for a hands-on DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the engineering platform that enables developers and business technology teams to build, deploy, and operate secure, reliable software at scale.
This is more than a traditional DevOps role. You'll serve as the technical bridge between central IT, software engineering, and business technology teams—translating enterprise requirements into scalable platform capabilities, automation, and self-service infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and operate cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Administer Linux and Windows environments.
- Support Docker and Kubernetes-based workloads.
- Implement secure identity, access management, networking, and secrets management.
- Build monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, and operational automation.
- Partner with IT, engineering, and business teams to standardize platforms and improve developer productivity.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong Linux and Windows administration.
- Experience with Azure and hybrid infrastructure; AWS and/or GCP experience is a plus.
- Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD platforms including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Networking fundamentals including DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Identity technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, SSO, IAM, and secrets management.
- Scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Enterprise or multinational IT experience.
- GitOps.
- VMware or Hyper-V.
- Observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, or Azure Monitor.
