About the Job
Position: Devops Engineer
Location: Gurgaon
Role Summary: We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will support the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications. You will work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to automate deployment processes, monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in cloud technologies, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
Must Have
- 1–2 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience with Jenkins for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and deployment best practices.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good to Have
- Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud networking.
- Familiarity with cloud security and deployment best practices.
- Knowledge of scripting languages beyond shell scripting (e.g., Python).
- Exposure to agile development environments and DevOps methodologies.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools to enable reliable software releases.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor infrastructure and application health using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Perform Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and automation using shell scripting.
- Assist in implementing infrastructure automation and deployment best practices.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues to ensure high system availability.
- Work with Git-based version control systems to manage source code and deployment workflows.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Support networking configurations, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud networking components.
- Document infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Continuously learn and adopt modern DevOps practices, tools, and cloud technologies while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
