To be successful as a Devops Engineer, you should have experience with:
- Proven track record as a DevOps Engineer supporting large-scale, enterprise-grade applications.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tooling including Gradle, Maven, Docker, and pipeline orchestration via GitLab and Jenkins.
- Containerization expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift platforms.
- Advanced scripting capabilities across PowerShell/Bash/Python/Ruby/Java/.NET.
- Solid understanding of version control systems (Git/GitLab) and build automation tools (Maven, Gradle, Ant, NPM etc).
- Working knowledge of code quality and security platforms including SonarQube and Veracode.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Experience integrating with third-party/vendor platforms and managing secure external connectivity.
- Cross-platform experience with both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, ServiceNow)
- Strong incident and problem management capabilities with focus on rapid issue resolution and uptime optimization.
- Experience analyzing application performance metrics using ELK Stack and AppDynamics
