DevOps Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA – Hybrid (1 day onsite per week)
Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and operate cloud platforms, automation, and delivery capabilities that enable teams to develop, deploy, and run secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. This role will focus on AWS, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and platform engineering while supporting both traditional applications and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud infrastructure, and platform automation.
- Automate environment provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Support production operations, incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Implement DevSecOps controls, security automation, governance, and compliance practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve production readiness, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Develop reusable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and deployment consistency.
- Implement and enhance monitoring and observability across cloud environments and applications.
- Support reliability engineering practices and continuously improve system performance and availability.
- Help establish governance, auditability, and policy-as-code capabilities across the platform.
- Support observability and governance requirements for AI-enabled applications and services.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud engineering and infrastructure as code.
- Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and platform engineering.
- Experience with containers, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
- Experience with governance automation, policy-as-code, auditability, and compliance controls.
- Knowledge of security telemetry and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working in regulated industries or environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to AI governance, model monitoring, LLM/agent observability, or AI-enabled platforms.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps/Platform Engineer who can balance speed, reliability, security, and governance. They are comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, automation, application delivery, and production operations, while partnering closely with engineering teams to build scalable and reusable platform capabilities. Experience supporting AI-enabled solutions is a strong plus.
