Role Description The DevOps Engineer role at Befree is a full-time, on-site position based in Gandhinagar. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support reliable software delivery across environments. Day-to-day tasks include managing Linux-based systems, monitoring infrastructure and application performance, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent deployments, and collaborating with development teams to streamline release processes. The DevOps Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, enhance system reliability and security, and contribute to automation initiatives that improve scalability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience with Software Development practices and Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid System Administration experience, particularly in Linux environments, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Relevant experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, ideally within cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to automation and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
