Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient AWS Cloud Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, production support, and incident management. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of cloud environments. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support, optimize, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and support AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
- Monitor system availability, performance, and security to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and application-related issues across AWS environments.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Manage and support containerized workloads using Amazon ECS and Docker.
- Configure and maintain AWS networking components including VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers, Security Groups, and Network ACLs.
- Support CI/CD deployments and collaborate with development teams for application releases.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools where applicable.
- Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch and other enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and operational procedures.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in production support activities, incident response, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud environments.
- Strong experience supporting production workloads in AWS.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and Linux system administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
