Role Description The Cloud Specialist is a full-time on-site role based in Seattle, WA, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure that supports the HummingBird platform. This role involves managing cloud environments, provisioning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of services. The Cloud Specialist collaborates with software development and integration teams to deploy applications, optimize configurations, and streamline CI/CD pipelines in cloud-native environments. Day-to-day activities include troubleshooting cloud-related issues, improving automation and infrastructure-as-code practices, and supporting integrations with external systems such as ATS/VMS platforms. The role also requires contributing to architectural decisions, documenting cloud standards, and continuously evaluating new cloud technologies to enhance platform reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing and Infrastructure skills, including experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, security, and scalability.
- Candidates should possess Software Development and Integration skills, such as scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript), APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing performance, availability, and connectivity issues across complex cloud environments.
- Candidates should possess experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and container/orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, security best practices, DevOps methodologies, and experience supporting SaaS or AI-driven platforms.
