THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a Systems Infrastructure Engineer ready to build and scale the infrastructure that powers its entire platform, including ML training and serving systems.
TECH STACK & TOOLS
- Kubernetes driving the container orchestration layer
- Terraform powering infrastructure as code
- AWS, GCP, or Azure for cloud infrastructure
- Docker for containerization
- Prometheus and Grafana lighting up metrics and dashboards
- Datadog for observability and alerting
- Argo CD for GitOps-style continuous delivery; GitHub Actions for CI
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and operate core infrastructure systems (compute, storage, networking, orchestration)
- Push the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of production systems further
- Build tooling and automation that boosts engineering velocity
- Own incident response and drive postmortems for production issues
- Team up with ML and product engineering on infrastructure needs for training and serving models
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and reliability practices
- Ready to be on-call for critical production systems
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience powering infrastructure for ML training/serving workloads
- Experience scaling infrastructure through hypergrowth periods
COMPENSATION
$155,000–$230,000 base salary + equity. Target pay generally maps to years of directly relevant experience: 4–6 years $155,000–$180,000; 7–9 years $180,000–$205,000; 10+ years $205,000–$230,000. Bands reflect 2026 early-stage startup market data (seed/Series A–B) for this role and location; final offers may vary based on the candidate's specific background.
