We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to design, automate, and optimize secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud expert with deep AWS, Terraform, DevOps, and automation experience who thrives in building reliable, compliant, cloud-native solutions within a platform environment.
This person will be strong in AWS Cloud multi account environments and AWS certified.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Modernize cloud platforms through containerization (ECS/Fargate), serverless technologies, and cloud-native architecture best practices.
- Manage AWS networking, multi-account governance, and cloud services including EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Direct Connect, VPN, and AWS Organizations.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure tooling using GitHub Actions, Python, Shell scripting, and AWS Lambda.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices using CloudWatch, Datadog, and AI-assisted operational automation.
- Ensure cloud platforms meet compliance and security best practices through policy-as-code and infrastructure automation.
- Optimize cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and cost through capacity planning and FinOps initiatives.
- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions supporting SaaS applications.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote cloud engineering, automation, IaC, and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification required (Professional certification preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering experience supporting production SaaS environments.
- Expertise designing AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Strong experience with Python, Bash/Shell scripting, GitHub Actions CI/CD, CloudWatch, Datadog, and cloud automation.
- Experience designing AWS networking (Direct Connect, VPN, PrivateLink), managing cloud databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache), and implementing multi-account governance.
