As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will collaborate with technical and operational teams to improve infrastructure reliability, automate processes, and strengthen cloud security in a fully remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Administer Linux systems, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and supporting platform services.
- Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Investigate networking, DNS, TCP/IP, IAM, performance, and availability issues to restore service quickly.
- Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate operational tasks, deployments, and support workflows.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, source control processes, and reliable software delivery using Git.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response procedures across cloud environments.
- Maintain cloud security controls and contribute to database management, system architecture, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills:
- Professional experience supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, scripting, and operational automation.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of IAM principles, cloud security controls, monitoring, logging, and incident management.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools and practices.
- Ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues and communicate technical solutions clearly.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Multi-cloud certification, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer.
- Experience with observability platforms, centralized logging, and infrastructure performance analysis.
- Knowledge of cloud-native database services, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes security, Helm, service meshes, or managed container platforms.
- Experience designing highly available and cost-optimized system architectures.
- Background supporting architecture, engineering, construction, design, or other project-based technology environments.
