We are looking for an experienced Cloud Specialist to join our team for one of our clients in the public sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, Windows Server, and cloud migration.

Location: 200 North St, Jackson, MS 39201.
Work Model: 100% Onsite

Contract Duration: November 2026 – June 2027
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred/required as per requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify scalable cloud architectures supporting IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Ensure security, compliance, data protection, and privacy across cloud environments.
- Support the migration of existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.
- Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design and maintain controls and processes using available cloud audit tools.
- Stay current with cloud products, services, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–6+ years of experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong proficiency in at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, and firewalls.
- Advanced experience with VM management.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with cloud automation and scripting.
- Strong networking knowledge.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Linux administration
- Experience with Python and Bash
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of vSphere
- Experience with storage technologies
- Previous experience working in government or regulated industries.
