Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Lead to drive infrastructure, platform reliability, and DevOps strategy at Gradient Cyber. This is a leadership role responsible for managing and mentoring a team of engineers across data platform, automation, and cloud infrastructure functions.
You will play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that support our cybersecurity and AI-driven platform. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and the ability to lead and align cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of DevOps, infrastructure, and platform engineers
- Define and implement DevOps strategy, processes, and best practices across the organization
- Own cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), deployments, and system architecture
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless and reliable releases
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all systems
- Drive infrastructure automation using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams to support platform needs
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quick resolution of incidents
- Establish and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and deployments
- Optimize cloud costs, resource utilization, and operational efficiency
- Mentor team members and create a high-performance engineering culture
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure Engineering
- Prior experience in a leadership or team management role
- Strong expertise in:
- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Python (scripting and automation)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability
- Exposure to security best practices in cloud and infrastructure environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in cybersecurity or working with security-focused platforms
- Exposure to data platforms, pipelines, or AI/ML infrastructure
- Familiarity with columnar databases (e.g., ClickHouse, Redshift, BigQuery) or observability/SIEM platforms
