Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Summary
The Cloud Engineer is a key member of the Technology team, helping keep broadcast operations running smoothly with a focus on cloud and software technologies. You’ll design, deploy, secure, and troubleshoot cloud solutions, applying best practices and strong problem-solving skills to keep our platform reliable, secure, and cost-effective.
The individual must have deep knowledge of network principles, all aspects of LAN, WAN and WLAN networks and Network services.
Essential Job Functions
- Architect, design, deploy, and maintain cloud and related infrastructure
- Advice and recommend enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture
- Proactively suggest improvements, changes and optimizations
- Communicate project and planning with management, both technical and general
- Monitor cloud resources for performance and cost optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud and software issues
- Build, implement, and maintain configuration for core cloud services, including AWS, CloudFront, S3, SNS, and SQS
- Administer, configure and deploy containerized applications and services using Kubernetes and Docker
- Write scripts for deployment, monitoring, reporting, and alerting to support a robust, redundant, and highly available infrastructure
- Assess security threats and their impact on customer environments
- Triage and resolve technical, workflow, and user issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies
- Support and troubleshoot cloud and on-premises infrastructure as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a cloud or infrastructure engineering role, including 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform -AWS preferred, including:
- Cloud networking (Direct Connect/VPN, DNS, Route 53)
- Cloud security and governance (IAM, roles, policies, MFA)
- Containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
- Serverless platforms and services
- Hybrid cloud architecture
- Elasticsearch, Kubernetes clusters, and Docker
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Node/TypeScript)
- Proven adoption and strong understanding of use of AI in development workflows
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences, technical and general
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD
- Experience with, Git, ECR, and EC2
- Solid command of Linux administration
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Clear, confident communication — you can explain technical concepts to internal teams, project engineers, and stakeholders alike
- Self-motivated and able to see tasks through to completion without close supervision
- Comfortable working as part of a larger cross-functional team
- Willingness to work occasional shift-based hours to support the platform
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience via industry certifications, or hands-on professional experience.
- Experience supporting live broadcast or media environments (Preferred).
- Relevant cloud certifications e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect (Preferred).
