A well-established and growing company is expanding its cloud engineering team to help standardize and mature its Microsoft Azure footprint. This hands-on role owns Azure administration, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD reliability while partnering closely with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and application teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Azure subscriptions and cloud-hosted environments across the organization
- Standardize resource configurations to align with governance, naming, tagging, and access policies
- Provision and modify infrastructure using Terraform, maintaining reusable and version-controlled configurations
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting deployment failures and recommending reliability upgrades
- Deploy and manage serverless functions, App Service instances, and containerized application hosting
- Support integration and data platforms including Databricks along with managed database, storage, and secrets services
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities using native cloud tooling
- Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues, providing escalation support for critical incidents
- Partner with security teams to remediate cloud posture findings and implement hardening controls
- Implement DNS and routing configurations, along with virtual network and private endpoint setup, in coordination with network engineering
- Review cloud spend and utilization to identify cost optimization opportunities
- Contribute platform engineering input during architecture and solution design reviews
- Maintain documentation covering standards, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps
- Strong hands-on production experience administering Microsoft Azure services
- Demonstrated experience deploying infrastructure through Terraform in a collaborative engineering setting
- Working knowledge of governance tools including policy enforcement and access control frameworks
- Solid grounding in cloud networking fundamentals
- Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Strong documentation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills
- Relevant Azure or infrastructure-as-code certifications are a plus
