The role
You'll own and evolve the infrastructure that our engineering teams depend on every day. You'll work closely with developers to make shipping fast and safe, keep production healthy, and automate everything that shouldn't be done by hand. This is a hands-on role with real influence over how we build and operate our systems.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines so teams can deploy frequently and with confidence
- Run and scale containerized workloads on ECS, EKS, or Fargate, along with serverless services like Lambda
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch and tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Strengthen security posture through IAM best practices, VPC design, secrets management, and compliance controls
- Participate in an on-call rotation, lead incident response, and drive blameless postmortems
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and keep AWS spend under control
- Document systems and share knowledge across engineering
What we're looking for
- [3+] years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline)
- Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
- Good grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP, TLS)
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with developers
Nice to have
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer – Professional, or SysOps Administrator)
- Kubernetes experience in production, including Helm or ArgoCD
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001
- Familiarity with multi-account AWS setups using Organizations and Control Tower
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible
