Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
Senior Cloud (Azure) Infrastructure Engineer to support a leading
financial services organization in
Bethesda, MD.
This position is ONSITE 4 days per week in Bethesda, MD.
The
Senior Cloud (Azure) Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, automate, secure, and support enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure. This position requires a strong combination of
hands-on Azure infrastructure, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, automation, and production support experience.
Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud (Azure) Infrastructure Engineer:
- Design, build, and support secure and scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and automated infrastructure deployment workflows.
- Design and support Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, routing, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Private Link, and Private DNS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or similar technologies.
- Implement and support Azure identity, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure, networking, and production issues.
- Collaborate with Security, IT Operations, Architecture, and Development teams.
Qualifications for the Senior Cloud (Azure) Infrastructure Engineer:
- Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Strong experience building and deploying Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.
- Strong Azure networking experience, including VNets, routing, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Private Link, and DNS.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD technologies.
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or similar scripting technologies.
- Experience supporting Azure identity, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Highly Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, Key Vault, PIM, and Defender for Cloud.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure, Terraform, networking, security, or DevOps certifications.
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment.
Compensation for the Senior Cloud (Azure) Infrastructure Engineer:
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
