We are partnering with a newly established investment firm in New York that is building out its core engineering and data infrastructure.
They are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to take significant ownership of the cloud and deployment foundations supporting the firm's engineering and data platforms. This is an opportunity to join a small, high-calibre technical team where you will have genuine influence over how the infrastructure is designed, operated and scaled.
The role will span cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, networking, identity and production reliability, with responsibility for establishing robust engineering and operational standards as the firm continues to grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling and release processes
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code
- Develop monitoring, alerting, logging and incident-response capabilities
- Own networking and cloud connectivity across environments, including VPC/VNet, routing, VPN and peering
- Support DNS, authentication, identity and permissions infrastructure
- Help establish production reliability, incident management and operational best practices
- Work closely with engineering and data teams on reliable developer tooling and infrastructure
- Support database operations including performance, migrations and backup/recovery
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of DevOps, Infrastructure, SRE, Platform or Systems Engineering experience
- Strong production and systems engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with IaC, CI/CD and monitoring/observability
- Experience operating production workloads across Azure, AWS or GCP — Azure particularly relevant
- Strong understanding of networking and production reliability
- Experience supporting high-availability or high-consequence production environments
- Database operations experience is beneficial
- Exposure to MLOps or data/ML infrastructure is a plus
The firm is particularly interested in engineers coming from high-bar technology environments where reliability and operational quality genuinely matter.
