Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud & Identity Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud engineering, IAM, identity and access management, authentication, authorization, identity federation, infrastructure as code, and production cloud operations.
A key part of this role is hands-on Databricks experience on AWS, including workspace configuration, identity integration, networking, data lake connectivity, security, monitoring, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure in enterprise production environments.
- Manage and implement AWS IAM, roles, policies, authentication, authorization, and identity federation.
- Configure and support Amazon Cognito and enterprise identity integrations.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable IaC technologies.
- Support cloud networking, security controls, encryption, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Perform production support and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and identity-related issues.
- Design and support Databricks environments on AWS, including workspace configuration and architecture.
- Implement Databricks IAM roles and identity integration with AWS services.
- Configure VPC connectivity, networking, S3/data lake connectivity, and secure access for Databricks workloads.
- Manage Databricks secrets, cluster/compute policies, monitoring, and logging.
- Support CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code automation for Databricks and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture documentation, and operational procedures.
- Follow cloud security and enterprise operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- AWS IAM
- Amazon Cognito
- Authentication & authorization
- Identity federation
- Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable IaC tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise AWS environments and production operations.
- Knowledge of:
- Cloud networking
- Secrets management
- Encryption
- Monitoring
- Logging
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Hands-on Databricks experience on AWS is required, including:
- Workspace configuration/architecture
- VPC connectivity and networking
- IAM roles and identity integration
- S3/data lake connectivity
- Secrets management
- Cluster/compute policies
- Monitoring and logging
- CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code automation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an enterprise energy/utilities environment.
- Additional AWS certifications.
- Experience automating cloud infrastructure and operational processes.
- Experience working with enterprise security and identity teams.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud engineer who can work across AWS infrastructure, identity/security, and Databricks rather than someone with only general AWS exposure.
