Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with 5–9 years of experience in software development and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and scripting, with the ability to work independently as a technical SME.
Must-Have Skills
- SDLC / Software Development: 6+ years
- SME / Subject Matter Expertise: 1+ year
- Scripting: Python preferred; Go, Ruby, or Bash also acceptable
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Manage and automate application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Go, Ruby, or Bash.
- Manage source code and branching strategies using Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, infrastructure, and pipeline issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment efficiency, and engineering processes.
- Act as an SME for DevOps tools and practices and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Ensure reliable, repeatable, and efficient CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Participate in production support and resolve technical issues when required.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins + GitLab CI + Docker + Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting/automation experience, preferably Python.
- Solid understanding of Git-based development workflows.
- Comfortable working as an independent contributor and taking ownership of DevOps challenges.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
