Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for DevOps Tool Admin at PRSTech. The DevOps Tool Admin will be responsible for managing different engineering tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory
Responsibilities
- Independently manage and administer software engineering applications such as GitHub, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence
- Work with customer teams on configuring and managing their workflows, user accounts, custom fields, dashboards etc. in JIRA. Create, copy, and manage JIRA projects based on user requirements
- Work with customers & project teams to determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflow. Monitor server usage and work with DevOps team to maintain architectural integrity
- Establish and promote standard processes for the usage of software engineering applications
- Administer user permissions and security settings to ensure appropriate access levels
- Work closely with the IT team on projects such as major upgrades, data migrations, automation, plugin selection, and integrations with other systems
- Fix and resolve user issues
- Create and maintain documentation on standard processes and usage guidelines
- Test new features and functionalities introduced in vendor updates to ensure compatibility and optimal performance
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into project progress and team productivity
- Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, RCA forIncidents, and training materials
- Ensure access to confidential data is appropriately restricted
- Provide guidance and training to teams on usage of product/project management tools
- Troubleshoot various issues (can’t login, slow or nonresponsive server, application not working properly, etc) which may involve opening tickets with various vendors
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Take or reassign tickets in a timely manner
- Close tickets quickly and accurately
- Respond to support requests on various Slack channels in a timely manner
- Provide accurate timelines for specific tasks assigned
- Participate in SAFe/Agile-based project work
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Experience
- 4-8 Years of experience in DevOps Tools Administration.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous experience in agile development environments is preferred.
