Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and drive the automation, deployment, security, and management of cloud infrastructure within AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and scripting.
In this role, you will collaborate with application developers, platform engineers, and security teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for optimizing deployment processes, improving operational efficiency, and establishing best practices for infrastructure automation and continuous delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, automate, maintain, and monitor AWS production environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage AWS accounts and cloud resources, ensuring infrastructure security, reliability, and scalability.
- Work with AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, and other related technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure and manage CI/CD tools, including GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
- Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, application, and cross-platform issues.
- Provide primary operational and engineering support for cloud infrastructure and enterprise deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics instrumentation to improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with core engineering and security teams to implement cloud security best practices and platform security controls.
- Establish standards, policies, and guidelines for IaC, CI/CD, cloud operations, and deployment processes.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation covering infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, operational processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Work effectively within a large Agile engineering team while independently owning assigned technical responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, deploying, and managing AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, and related cloud infrastructure services.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
- Understanding of software development, testing, release management, and deployment processes.
- Experience implementing cloud security, access management, and infrastructure compliance best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in large Agile teams and collaborating across engineering and operations functions.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a larger technical team.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts or prior exposure to AI technologies.
- Demonstrated interest in AI through self-learning, online courses, technical reading, or hands-on experimentation.
- Willingness to explore and adopt AI-powered tools to improve DevOps automation, operational efficiency, and cloud infrastructure management.
