We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps IT Manager to join our team, bringing expertise in AWS, GCP, and GitHub to ensure seamless operations, robust infrastructure, and high-performance systems.
Position Overview: As the DevOps IT Manager at Primotech, you will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring operational excellence, and driving innovation in our cloud environments. Your role will involve working closely with engineering teams to align DevOps strategies with business goals and technology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking components.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related tools to streamline the software development lifecycle.
Ensure automated testing, deployment, and integration processes are robust and efficient.
System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure proactive management of system health and performance.
Analyze performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues, optimize system performance, and enhance reliability.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to align DevOps practices with organizational goals and project requirements.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices and policies to protect cloud environments and sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Automation and Efficiency:
Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual interventions, and accelerate delivery processes.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
Lead incident response efforts, manage system outages, and coordinate with teams to resolve critical issues.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Prepare and present reports on system performance, incidents, and DevOps metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps or related IT roles, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in AWS and GCP, including experience with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with related tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI is advantageous.
- Scripting and Automation: Strong skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
- Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls and compliance measures.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading technical teams and projects.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
