Role overview
Hands-on DevOps Tower Lead for deployment with a leading private-sector banking client. Primary accountability: on-premises enterprise application infrastructure, container platforms and deployment operations. This is a technical leadership position combining engineering delivery, platform operations, secure automation and stakeholder coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end DevOps delivery, CI/CD implementation, deployment automation and release reliability for enterprise banking applications.
- Own containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, including production deployment practices.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident management and production support.
- Partner with application engineering, QA, infrastructure, information security and operations teams on stable, controlled releases.
- Own CI/CD deployment into bank-operated data-centre and private-cloud environments, emphasizing platform stability and release governance.
- Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, Linux infrastructure, container registries and related configuration in on-premises environments.
- Drive infrastructure provisioning, environment standardization, patching, backup/restore coordination and operational readiness.
- Enforce bank security, audit, change management and IT governance requirements; maintain evidence and operating documentation.
- Lead a technical tower, coordinate delivery and troubleshoot complex issues through resolution.
- AWS- Lead Kubernetes/OpenShift or AWS container deployment patterns, cloud configuration and infrastructure automation.
- GCP- Manage containerized application operations with Kubernetes/OpenShift and GCP container services as applicable.
- GCP - Drive GCP monitoring, cloud IAM/security alignment, production support and reliability improvement.
- Azure - Lead release automation, deployment controls and Infrastructure as Code for Azure-hosted enterprise applications.
- Azure - Coordinate Azure platform monitoring, access management, secrets and resilience with security and infrastructure teams.
- OCI - Operate Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms and manage integrations between OCI-hosted applications and enterprise services.
Essential technical skills
- Jenkins, Git, Ansible and Terraform; automated CI/CD pipelines
- Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and Linux administration
- Monitoring/observability, incident response, security controls and vulnerability remediation
- Technical team leadership and end-to-end DevOps ownership
- Deep, hands-on on-premises Linux, private-cloud or data-centre infrastructure experience
- Kubernetes/OpenShift installation, administration and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
- Enterprise networking, storage, access controls, high availability and disaster recovery awareness
- Hands-on AWS services relevant to networking, compute, IAM, monitoring and containers (such as VPC, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, EKS)
- Hands-on GCP services relevant to compute, networking, IAM, monitoring and containers (such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud IAM, Cloud Monitoring, GKE)
- Hands-on Azure compute, networking, identity, observability and container services (such as Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure Monitor, AKS)
- Hands-on OCI core services covering compute, networking, IAM, monitoring and Kubernetes (e.g. VCN, Compute, IAM, Monitoring, OKE)
Preferred profile
Prior banking/financial services exposure is preferred; experience in regulated, high-availability enterprise environments is valuable. Demonstrable team leadership and ownership of production DevOps delivery are required.
Work schedule & employment notes
The role is fully onsite at the client location. Regular working is five weekdays plus two alternate Saturdays, according to the client/bank working calendar. Applicable employment terms, holidays, hours and statutory protections will be governed by the offer, client roster and relevant law; this schedule is not presented as an RBI-mandated five-day work rule.
