Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Ping Consultant to lead and manage multiple streams in our engagement with our customer, focusing on Test Environment Management, proactive customer engagement, and continuous improvement of both technology and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise in Ping Identity solutions, DevOps, and leadership experience in managing operational support teams. The Ping Consultant will act as the primary technical point of contact, providing leadership and driving opportunities for improvement in customer relationships and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the Test Environment Management Team for NatWest, ensuring smooth setup, maintenance, and operation of environments for testing purposes.
· Engage proactively with the customer to understand their needs, anticipate challenges, and propose innovative solutions to improve their Identity and Access Management (IAM) landscape.
· Provide technical leadership in the management of Ping Identity solutions, offering hands-on support and strategic guidance across various streams, including PingFederate, PingAccess, PingDirectory and other tools from Ping.
· Identify and implement process and technology improvements, ensuring alignment with customer’s business goals.
· Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with the custoemr team, improving collaboration and ensuring successful delivery of IAM initiatives.
· Lead and mentor an operational support team, ensuring the highest levels of service availability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
· Identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings within the IAM environment, driving projects from concept to implementation.
· Actively seek out and evaluate new technologies and methods to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and improve the overall efficiency of IAM operations.
· Maintain a proactive approach to issue resolution, always looking ahead to identify and mitigate risks before they impact the customer.
Requirements:
· Proven experience leading operational support teams, particularly in IAM and Ping Identity technologies.
· Strong hands-on experience with PingFederate, PingAccess, and PingDirectory, and associated Ping Identity products.
· Proficiency in DevOps practices, including automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, or equivalent).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate teams.
· Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complex projects.
· Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills:
· Experience working in the financial services or banking industry.
· Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, and Openshift and their integration with IAM solutions.
· Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
· Certification in Ping Identity solutions or DevOps practices is a plus.
