The Key Deliverables in this role:
Financial Outcomes
- Conduct market research, creating cost estimates and forecasts.
- Collect and interpret procurement data including cost analysis reporting, benchmarking, return on investment and build cost reduction plan.
- Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
- Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
- Controlling cost escalations within agreed budgeted numbers especially in adverse conditions - negotiations and agreements.
- Leverage market intelligence & networks for competitive advantage & value add delivery to business.
- Negotiating at tactical & strategic levels to meet business requirements and to deliver value.
- Should have experience executing multiple sourcing contracts exceeding 10+ Cr INR overall value.
- Should have experience dealing / negotiating with Tier-1 OEM like AWS, MS, SAP, BY etc
Strategy & delivery
- Should define and run large scale sourcing RFP for IT Systems / Services covering large scale licensing, cloud, management services.
- Ability to define SLA / KPI / other contractual terms for various type of IT systems like SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Network, DevOps etc.
- Manage the contract renewal timelines. Lead market research for vendor Profiles and Supplier selection.
- Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
- Lead business and process integration by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Risk mitigation plans – identification, development & readiness on financial and supply risk
Internal Processes
- Perform regular reviews of established procurement processes to ensure continual improvement. Subsequently refining policies, due diligence questionnaires and RFP templates.
- Drive improvements on SLAs & stake holder satisfaction levels.
- Implementation of sound business ethics, meeting internal & external audit requirement and procurement standards while improving, redefining & implementing policies & processes within the changing environment to meet business requirements.
- Audit points closure for the identified gaps with strategic initiatives
Innovation and Learning
- Foster Innovation in process optimization by tracking and driving Performance metrics
- Benchmarking of rates & services within Tata Group companies & other FMCG companies to the size & scale of TCPL.
- Provide solution with latest technological advancement at competitive rates & services with value add.
The Critical success factors for the Role
- Engineering degree and/or MBA with 10+ years’ work experience in IT procurement in IT / FMCG industry with at least 5 years in middle / senior management level.
- Knowledge & prior experience in IT & professional services procurement, project management, contracting, category strategy formulation, spend analysis & procurement strategy, Data analysis and ROI evaluations Statutory Compliances and risk management.
- Good Supplier negotiation skills, Relationship Management skills, Internal stakeholder management & influencing skills
- Leads and drives procurement plans, in alignment with business direction, into actions and executable plans for the team
