Dev-Ops engineer to join its Technology Development Centre Chicago .
Job Description AND Principal Responsibilities
- The Dev-Ops engineer will be working on regulatory, production resiliency and cash program initiatives, and will be responsible for delivering initiatives in Cash Systems .
- Engineer will participate in project planning via identification of tasks, issues and risks.
- Engineer will be responsible to develop & unit test software to meet specified requirements.
- Participate in Production install planning and deployment.
- Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities such as reducing manual effort, automation of tasks/resolutions or decreasing production incidents.
- Ensure non-functional requirements are planned and designed.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication with global stakeholders, self / other IT teams, and business areas.
- Provide level three support to the business and other IT teams, to ensure continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems.
- Should be able to identify and setup monitors in tools like Dynatrace & SiteScope.
- Should be able manage release process smoothly on weekends & involve appropriate teams in case of any issue identified during release implementation.
Experience
Experience/ Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies
- Good understanding about Spring Integration , Spring boot including JPA/ORM framework
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in JAVA 8 , J2EE, RESTful interfaces , Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, JMS , Azure Cloud.
- Experience on Spring Integration , GIT, Maven, Gradle, XSLT, XQuery, Shell scripting & Terraforms.
- Knowledge on REACT framework
- Experience with IBM MQ, Solace, Kafka
- Good working knowledge on XML technologies
- Agile Methodology and Scrum process for software development
- Develop and test new features and components.
- Write cost effective and fine tune Oracle PL/SQL queries
- Strong written/verbal communications skill-set
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Analytical skills and a structured methodical approach towards statistics and trend analysis.
Preferred/ Recommended Skills
- Understands cloud architectures and Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Good to have - Experience with Service Now (IT Service Management tool) & Dynatrace monitoring tool.
- Engineer Should be flexible for upskilling to new tech stack.
