SR Systems & Cloud Engineer

Have you managed company Cloud Services like Software, Infrastructure & Platform as a Service? BCT has a Law Firm client based in Indianapolis, IN that needs a hybrid direct-hire Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer to manage the hardware & virtual infrastructure including the servers, applications, appliances & security devices. This candidate needs to be based in greater Indianapolis area.

SALARY OFFERED: Up to $140K depending on candidate experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Constantly analyze & improve current systems as well as implement new solutions
• Partner with engineering & development teams to identify optimal cloud solutions
• Implements configuration changes & assist in design of cloud related solutions
• Identify & resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities & application deployment issues
• Create servers & appliances including e-mail, file, print, database, document management, directory services, and backup servers plus their associated operating systems and applications
• Creates & manage end user network & system accounts, permissions & access rights
• Designs hardware/software solutions plus troubleshoot & resolves hardware & software issues
• Work with team members to design & suggest optimal network design topologies & configurations
• Implement system & data backup/recovery plus assist in development & maintenance of business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans
• Respond to emergency conditions in accordance with appropriate plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s degree in a technology or business-related field preferred
• At least five years of relevant work experience with expert customer service attitude & focus
• Minimum three years of experience in the field of cloud computing
• Certifications preferred are Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficient with Cloud technologies like Azure, GCP, AWS, cloud monitoring & alerting services
• Knowledge of network protocols & fundamentals like TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/S, SFTP, LDAP, ARP, network troubleshooting tools like traceroute, ping, etc.
• Proven experience in developing business cases & plans which are detailed & actionable
• Self-starter, expert attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, prioritize tasks with strong written, oral & interpersonal communication skills required
