Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and supporting various technologies and frameworks, with a focus on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Duties:
- Build pipelines and automate workflows as a core strength to support infrastructure upgrades; As upgrading more servers in the future, the job will be more about how automate Azure in the cloud
Collaboration And Planning
- Work with internal groups such as Windows Admin, Linux Admin, Database Admin, IT Security, Networking, Tools, and Monitoring teams
- Plan and organize installations and configurations for on-premise servers
Requirements
- College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Strength in .NET - 5-7 years
- SAFe/Agile work experience
- Knowledge of ITIL framework including ITSM - Asset, Incident, Change, and Problem Management
- Experience with COTS-based implementations (e.g., Pega, ImageRight, Oracle Documaker, Dragon)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and external partners
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently, out of the box thinker and make suggestion on improvements
- Good communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Passion for learning new technologies
Tech Stack Management Must Have
- Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Windows Server Management
- Application Middleware: Microsoft IIS, JBoss, Apache Tomcat
- Database: SQL Server
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Vendor Application Upgrades (e.g., Oracle Docmaker, Pega)
- Upgrades to SQL Database (SQL 2019/2022)
- Non-Functional Requirements leveraging monitoring tools for performance, scalability, and security
- ITIL: Asset Management, Change Management
Nice To Have
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure/Azure CLI
- IaC with ARM or Bicep
- Linux
- Network - Firewall/Load Balancers
- Database: Oracle
- ITIL: Problem Management, Incident Management
Desired Skills
- Expert knowledge of CI/CD using Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience with Windows platforms, including IIS
- Experience with Application Servers, including JBOSS and Tomcat
- Property Casualty insurance experience preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of relational databases, focusing on MS SQL and Oracle
- Exposure to monitoring, logging, and debugging tools such as Dynatrace
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
