T-Rex Solutions LLC is a leading business combining innovative Next Generation IT ("NGIT") capabilities and enabling skills to provide industry-leading solutions to the federal government with a focus on cloud infrastructure and engineering, cybersecurity and large systems integration. T-Rex is part of the winning team awarded a program to support the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) by providing enterprise architecture, data, and engineering services to USTRANSCOM, US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC), and US Army Surface Deployment Distribution Command (SDDC). The team will develop and deliver enterprise architecture products, capability prototypes, system plans, enterprise cloud services, cybersecurity solutions, and data management services; as well as provide enterprise architecture tool operations support for service offerings across USTRANSCOM and its Transportation Component Commands. As the command transitions into commercial cloud services and future capabilities, T-Rex will support integration efforts to perform analysis across enterprise, systems of systems, and individual system levels as well as assist the Government in developing enterprise strategies, technical standards, and services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using AWS services, with a focus on CDK, Typescript, and JavaScript.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate and streamline deployment processes.
- Independently troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure applications are secure, performant, and scalable.
- Collaborate with client teams and internal stakeholders, providing technical expertise and clear communication during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices in AWS environments, with a focus on FIPS.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Provide direct, independent support to clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Maintain and manage source control with GitLab, following best practices for collaborative development.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of proven experience with AWS services, preferably in the use of AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
- Proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript for AWS-based development.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab for deployment and version control.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues without direct supervision.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, with experience working in constrained, highly-regulated environments, ideally FIPS-compliant.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients and other stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work onsite in the St. Louis, MO and/or SAFB, IL area as needed to meet client needs and collaborate with team members.
- Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship.
- Must have at least one of the following DOD IAT Level II Certifications (or higher), or be able to obtain one within 90 days: CCNA Security, CySA+ (formerly CSA+), GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
Desired Skills:
- Candidates local to the St. Louis Metro East market/within commuting distance preferred, although not required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Active or Interim Secret Clearance (or higher)
- Experience in an Agile delivery environment
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher
- Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes (EKS) for orchestration.
- Familiarity with WebFocus or similar reporting and analytics tools.
- Prior experience working in a client-facing role, with proven success in managing client relationships and delivering on expectations.
- Familiarity with security protocols such as FIPS or other compliance standards in restricted environments.

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
