About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced SRE Lead to join our dynamic team. As an SRE Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our SRE operations, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and optimizing our SRE practices to support our growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- SRE Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of SRE engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Workload Prioritization: Effectively prioritize SRE tasks and projects based on business objectives and technical requirements.
- Strategy Planning: Develop and implement SRE strategies and roadmaps at the platform level, aligning with overall business goals.
- Timesheet Review and Overtime Management: Review and approve timesheets, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked and managing overtime requests.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SRE processes, procedures, and standards.
- Cost Optimization: Collaborate with SRE engineers to identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to reduce costs.
- Platform Automation: Drive the automation of SRE tasks and processes using tools like Java, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services.
- Database Management: Oversee the management and optimization of databases used by our platforms.
Required Skills And Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in SRE or a related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles, practices, and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Proficiency in Java, Kubernetes, Docker, and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in SRE or cloud technologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Contributions to open-source SRE projects.
