Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Managerto lead our DevOps team in building, scaling, and securing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices across major cloud platforms, along with a proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives for high-performance cloud environments. This role will also focus on aligning cloud initiatives with business goals and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud solutions across major platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP including core services like Compute, Storage, IAM, and Kubernetes.
- Security: Configure and manage networks, VPCs, and security protocols to ensure performance and compliance. Oversee IAM, encryption, and access control for robust security.
- On premise Database Management: Oversee self-hosted databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis), ensuring high availability and performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, and other IaC solutions.
- CI/CD Pipelines & Automation: Collaborate with development teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) to improve speed and quality in deployments.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Google Cloud Monitoring) to manage performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, foster a knowledge-sharing culture, and lead by example in applying DevOps and cloud best practices.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps, including 3+ years in a lead or mentoring role.
- Proficient in any of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with experience in core services like Compute, Storage, IAM, and VPCs.
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Skilled in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, VPCs, load balancing, VPNs, and security protocols.
- Experience with managed and self-hosted databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) and data management best practices.
- Familiar with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana) for performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
