Description
SAGE Dining Services® is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The desired candidate will serve as a bridge between the Systems and Software Engineering teams, implementing deployment processes within our AWS infrastructure. The candidate will also assist in building and maintaining the AWS infrastructure itself, via configuration management tools.
SAGE's home office is in Lutherville, MD, but this position is fully remote. Candidates must live in the United States and must be authorized to work in the United States and will be employees of SAGE. This is not a 1099 position. In addition, the person taking this position will be required to travel to the SAGE Home office each quarter.
All finalists must complete a technical assessment to further evaluate their technical abilities.

What You'll Do
- Help maintain a world-class SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Cloud Infrastructure.
- Own the build & deploy lifecycle; reduce build, deploy & rollback times while simultaneously reducing risk and exposure.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting.
- Integrate and improve configuration management.
- Work collaboratively and demonstrate teamwork, dependability and confidentiality.
- Stay aware of the latest cybersecurity practices and tools.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years of production-level experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong Linux system administration background.
- Proven record of building robust and secure architecture within AWS.
- Ability to present and communicate architecture in diagrams and documentation.
- Experience with the following technologies: Kubernetes and container orchestration tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, scripting languages including Bash and Python, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
