DevOps Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Node.js to manage our AWS infrastructure, set up CI/CD pipelines and ensure the reliability of our backend systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-based solutions, backend development, and continuous delivery practices to drive efficiency and scalability. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation, software development, continuous integration, system administration and Linux operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM).
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Develop, maintain and deploy Node.js applications and REST APIs.
• Monitor infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement server, API, and database security best practices.
• Implement load balancing, auto-scaling and failover mechanisms.
• Configure IAM roles and policies for secure AWS operations.
• Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of backend APIs with frontend applications.
• Implement security best practices for servers, APIs, and databases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFront and Lambda.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) proficiency
• Software Development and Continuous Integration skills
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• System Administration and Linux expertise
• Familiarity with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong skills in Node.js and Express.js.
• Proficiency in MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
