Job Title: Cloud Architect – Engineer III
Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect-Level Office 365 Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Office 365 Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of various components of Microsoft cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Intune, O365 migration work, and a proactive, self-lead, and energetic attitude. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy innovative solutions that align with business requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Design and implement Microsoft cloud solutions, specifically focusing on Intune, O365 migration, Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint to meet the client's business needs and technical requirements.
- Proficiency in managing Entra ID, including user provisioning, multi-factor authentication, various levels of access control, and implementing security policies.
- Architect and optimize Microsoft Exchange Hybrid, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online solutions, including compliance, data protection, and eDiscovery components.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application management.
- Demonstrate a proactive, self-lead, and energetic attitude in identifying and resolving issues, and in driving projects to successful completion.
- Experience with migrations between tenants or on-premises to cloud.
- Experience with MDM solutions, particularly in configuring and managing mobile devices across various platforms (iOS, Android, Windows).
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with Azure services.
- A proactive attitude towards staying updated with the latest developments in Intune, O365, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint and related Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of Microsoft 365 configurations and processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education:
- Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate's Degree or equivalent.
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:
- Recent Microsoft certifications.
Relevant Work Experience:
- 8 to 10 years in a related field.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Solutions Architect.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender.
- Experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline processes.
- Migration experience with AvePoint or Quest tools.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements, including data protection, encryption, and multi-factor authentication in O365 and Azure.
- Understanding of CIS benchmarks.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert are a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have employee direct reports but does serve as a "lead" role for others doing similar work.
